Not everyone contributes the same way, and the Foundation would be poorer if they did. Time, skill, equipment, money and introductions all count, and we track them all.
Become a member
Membership means taking part in the mission, not buying access to events. Foundation events stay free and open regardless.

Volunteer
The most useful thing most people can give, and the thing the Foundation runs on. Volunteer hours are recorded and reported alongside financial contributions.

Support the mission
Contributions fund stewardship projects, educational programs, event supplies, safety equipment, youth activities and conservation work.
Online giving is not open yet. The Foundation is establishing its financial infrastructure first, and we would rather not take money before the accounting behind it is right. In the meantime the most valuable support is time, equipment and introductions. Talk to us about direct support of a specific program.
Partner or sponsor
For businesses and organizations who want to back a specific program or the wider mission. Partnerships should create measurable community or environmental benefit, not just a logo placement.

Sweat equity
Hours count, and we count them
A participatory organization needs to value what most of its people actually give, which is time.
Volunteer time is documented alongside financial contributions and reported the same way. Somebody who spends eight Saturdays a year leading beginner outings has contributed something the Foundation could not have bought, and the record should say so.
It also matters outward. Grant reviewers and land management agencies read volunteer hours as a measure of whether an organization has real community behind it or just a good website.
